WOW! That was a lot of questions yall :) I'll try to answer them all :)

BRich:
1) With the new album, Im getting to put it all together myself without having to deal with other people telling me what I should and shouldnt be doing... since Im on my husbands label, I can be as creative as I want and not have to change a thing to please anyone. Im not doing this album for fame, Im doing it for redemption. It will also be glorifying to God as I mentioned in my other post. Im excited to know people are anticipating a new album from me... especially because now I will be able to touch people in a way I couldnt before because spiritually I wasnt ready when the first album came out. I have so much more to offer this time around.

2) No, I wont use any of the tracks from Fly Away... I was in a different season in my life when I recorded Fly Away and it doesnt represent who I am now.

3) Hmmmmmmmm..... that one I have to think about

4)I got a positive response from fans and other artists at the BET awards..
people were surprised to see me and they were very loving. A lot asked when I was coming back out.

5) I heard that the Guiness Book of World Records had me listed but Ive never seen it.. do you have it? Can you send it to me? LOL.. What year is it in?


Romance

1) I dont know if I will let Dejan and Cypress join the board yet... I have to make sure theres not negativity like last time first because I dont want them subjected to other people who may not be as loving as you all :)
Maybe though.. and no, you cant have my babies LOL (maybe for a little while) lol


2) Yes, I will call you and B one day :)

3) As far as my spare time... I dont have much of that at all... my family takes up the majority of my day, but on Friday's I have a bible study/mentoring program at my house called God's Girls and its for girls ages 5 to 18 and me and two of my closest friends, Shae Jones and Monet Love, we teach class for two hours.. its wonderful! The mission statement for our group is "Growing young girls into virtuous women by depositing seeds of knowledge so that they may always walk with the spirit of God and know the love of the Lord." That is my main project right now and it takes up a lot of my time... other than that and writing and recording (In addition to my album, Im about to start working on an inspirational/gospel album with Shae Jones)and running the kids to gymnastics, I usually just hang out with my husband and we watch movies or go out or I go out on the road with him .. thats about it :)

4) Right now, Im listening to a gospel artist named Lisa McClendon... she has a song called Grace that I LOVE!! I love her album... I havent bought any other albums in a while... I like Smokey Norful though, I like Kanye West ..I was listening to Beyonce for a while... I still listen to my old Mint Condition cd's though and I love Indian music... I listen to the Bend It Like Beckham soundtrack and the Monsoon Wedding soundtrack.. I like some of Nickelbacks stuff and I also buy tapes from church of our pastor preaching. My absolute favorite thing to listen to though is a cd I got out of the back of a book called Teach Me How to Love You.. the cd is a sermon by Juanita Bynum and it is funny, inspirational and REAL! I love it... me and my girls listen to it a lot.

5)Story wanted to take gymnastics because she is naturally gifted.. she flips all the time so we put her in class... all the girls take it except Dream because shes too young but she will start when she turns two. I think its important for girls to be involved in sports.

Hi everyone, its Sole' dropping in to say hi!!! I've missed you all so much... I've been so busy but I've been wanting to come by and post for a while now. Anyway, the last couple years of my life have been amazing with many up's and downs and I came here to share a tiny piece of that with you all... since I was a child, I knew I had a calling that was higher than I realized at the time. I always had a very close relationship with God and saw Him working in my life. As I got older, I strayed from what His plans were for me and although I never abandoned Him and always prayed and gave thanks, I'm sure my life wasn't pleasing to Him. I've made some poor choices as we all have and I've learned from them and some of them I've shared with others through my music. I've never been a bad person and I try to please everyone but in doing so, I was neglecting to try to please God and running from what His purpose was for me. About two years ago, I was working on my second album and I couldn't be creative... I just didn't feel right every time I tried to work. I was really confused as to what I wanted to do and how I wanted it to come off.... it was God working on me though.... from that time until now, I have been being convicted in my spirit of a lot of things... especially concerning my music. Although I always meant well, I wasn't doing right. Some people wont agree with me but I know how powerful music is and it has the power to make you feel all kinds of emotions and impress different things in your mind and heart and I don't want to be putting anything negative or sinful on anyone's hearts... I don't want to glorify sinful things.... I will not be responsible for leading people down the wrong path.. even though my music had positively in it.. there was a lot of cursing and things not pleasing to God also and i will not do that any more. My music will still be inspiring to people ... especially my girls, but if you hear me talking about making love or things like that, it will be about my husband... there will be no cursing and glorification of sin... I will talk about real life things but it will always be putting it in a positive light... representing it in a way that will be pleasing to God.. a way that He would want us to deal with it because we can glorify Him in all we do... He finds happiness in all human emotions and enjoyment as long as its not sinful because He created it. I cannot live for anyone but Him and my family and I have a husband and 4 girls to be accountable to after God and I choose to be a Godly example to them all... If you look up to me as an artist, then look up to God and praise Him because it is only by His grace that I will be able to bring music and inspiration to you... Also if you are a fan of my husband, pray that he will continue to move in a positive direction with his music also. I will still bring it to you in a way that you can enjoy and relate to but I will be more responsible in what I put out there also. I hope all of you will continue to support me and I hope in the process I will be able to touch some of your lives like I would have never been able to without allowing God to work on me.. I love you all and I will continue to post weekly and I will also start posting some inspirational thoughts and quotes each week.... God bless you all :) Love Sole'

Hi everyone... i just wanted to stop by and show some love to everyone who's moved over from the solefans.com board to this one. That board is supposed to only be down temporarily but with the way this one is coming together, i might just have to make this my official site... Actually, no i dont. I probably should but i dont. I was always slim growing up until i turned about 16, then i got thick (in a good way) in all the right places.. When i got my deal, a couple people at the production company thought I should lose weight so my butt wouldnt look "fat" on tv.. i was only about 135 pounds, wearing a size 7/8. I guess they had this "hollywood" ideal of what an artist should look like, plus tv sometimes makes you look bigger. Now where im from and how i grew up, i didnt know any men who liked skinny women... skinny did not equal sexy where im from and most black men i know feel that way too, so i definately didnt want to lose weight.. i was comfortable with my weight and healthy, but to please them and get them off my back i started running and trying to lose a couple pounds. I ended up losing over 15 pounds after i went out on the road before my album came out and i felt terrible about myself. I didnt think i looked good and i definately didnt feel good. I shouldnt have allowed others to dictate what was "beautiful" and "artist fine" and made my own decisions about how i would look. This is part of the reason a lot of women have warped thinking about how they should look. Hollywood has this standard which is unattainable for most women and for the most part unhealthy... and not even particularly attractive in my opinion. We as women shouldnt let Hollywood or anyone else for that matter dictate what is sexy and beautiful.. everyone is different. Thank God healthy, sexy women are taking center stage now and breaking the mold and making Hollywood look differently at their idea of beauty and sexiness. I knew all along what i thought was sexy, but allowed others to dictate what i would do with my body.. never again though, I am a thick, healthy woman once again and very happy with my body which is not stick thin at all anymore! So work out, be healthy and stay in shape, but dont try to be something youre not.. if youre naturally skinny or slim, so be it, if youre naturally thick and curvy..be proud,but dont try to be something other than the beautiful woman God created.. curves are SEXY!

Hey sweetie, i saw one of those old magazines the other day.. i was like, "Oh my God!" .. i didnt like those pictures.. i dont really like any of my old pictures... thats another story, but anyway, yes i went to cosmetology school.. i didnt get my license though, i had a couple more months to go and at the time i was working and taking college courses too so it was too much. I love to do hair though and I always do my own, i never go to the salon. I get it done for videos, pics etc, but usually i end up changing what theyve done to me. I like to do my own make up too because when i first came out, makeup artists would do my make up and pile it on and have me looking like a damn drag queen. I dont like a lot of make up, so i do my own now most of the time. I dont have a relaxer, my hair is very thin and fine. Its a wavy, curly texture, but very easy to straighten. If i want to wear it straight, ill wrap it or flat iron it. I usually use Joico products and Redkins Anit snap leave in conditioner... I tryed Patene Daily Moisture shampoo and conditioner recently though and i love it.. it works as well as the joico products and makes your hair really soft at less than half the price. As far as your hair goes, those products would work well for you also as well as well as some time of cream hair dress... also to smooth your new growth and ends, you could invest in a ceramic flat iron, it works faster than the regular flat irons and curling irons and heats up usually in 5 to 13 seconds.. plus it distributes the heat evenly so you dont have to keep going over the same spots repeatedly and it seals in the moisture for shine :).. The good ones are fairly expensive though (around $150, but WELL worth it) You can find less expensive ones but Im not positive as to how well they work.. Anyway, hope that helps a little... oh also keep your ends trimmed ( i dont, LOL, but you should!) Take care and happy styling! :)

aaaawwwww thank you all... im glad you like it.. its a cougar and i was having too much fun playing with it.. i love cats :) The owner wasnt supposed to let me near its head, for safety reasons...i was only supposed to sit by her back and touch her back only but i was so comfortable with the cat and she was so comfortable with me, she let me lay by her and rub her head and everything...she was even purring :)

I absoulutely love that song and video!! Its my favorite right now (well next to every song on Ginuwines album lol) but for real i love it... Lil ron, where the hell did you get that from LOL... anyway, it means sun and it really is spelled Soleil but for some reason, someone else had that name trademarked so i had to spell it differently...so it sole'.. but again it means sun... i try to bring light wherever i go and brighten peoples day.. theres some other reasons for it that are funny but i wont share

I dont live in Kansas City any more but my parents do as well as my brothers and sisters so I do visit. My brothers names are Sean and Charles and they are both grown but i have two teenage sisters, one named Sierra who is 17 and one named Tamika(mi mi) who is 16.

Well im not gonna go as far as everyone else did in replying to your post...everyone has their own opinion but as far as coming "harder" its a song about s%$ so i didnt want to come off hard on a s%#ual song and as far as being graphic, i was about as graphic as it gets without being completely vulgar... it couldnt have gotten much more graphic without being downright trifling which im not going to do, but to me, i was just as descriptive if not more than he was.. lets see, ill type the lyrics and see how descriptive they are..

Now correct me if im wrong, but thats very descriptive to me .. i get a nice visual reading that but its not completely trashy and vulgar..i guess some people would have liked it more if id thrown in an extra %!@% or maybe a ^%$$& or the word *&^$.. i dont know.. or maybe if i had rapped it real hard but to me, i gave the song what it called for.. so i respect anyone elses opinion but i also have my own and i was happy with what i did and elgin loved it so thats all that really matters to me :)

Oh my goodness..Thank you so much for being the strong type of woman to admit a wrong. That takes so much courage to do. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and do that. That was really sweet of you. I, like yourself, am a christian woman and we all have our walk and journey in Christ differently and in our own time.. We learn things as we grow and make that journey. We all make mistakes and we all arrive at different times.. I am on that walk, as are you and though i dont do everything right, i am trying to always continue to head in the right direction. No one is perfect and we all make mistakes, but not all of us are big enough or strong enough to admit them... you are and should be commended for that, so i take my hat off to you and applaud you for taking that step and being the beautiful person with a loving heart you have to be in order to have even come to my site in the first place. As you know, i got a lot of hate and negativity and as much as i shouldnt have let things that i heard and read bother me, they hurt me very deeply for various reasons but i knew the kind of person i was and i knew my situation and most importantly i knew the truth, so all i could do was pray and continue to be strong and look to God, my family and friends for support, as well as my fans... knowing one day i would get the love and respect i deserved. All that to say, I greet you with open arms and whole heartedly accept your apology.. i dont judge or hold grudges and i hope you continue to visit the board because there are some genuinely sweet people here.. and congratulations on your walk with Christ..may you be blessed in all you do:)

You dont know how inspiring and uplifting you all are to me. I come in here a lot because it makes my day and keeps me going knowing that there are so many people who appreciate and like what i do. It really gives me the energy and drive i need to accomplish my goals.. you all mean more to me than you could possibly know... i love you all and appreciate your support.. and to those of you on the board who are young ladies and teenagers.. just because i have some songs that may be adult or sexual in content, thats because i am an adult and i hope that you all will continue to be the young ladies you are and not try to grow up too fast and immulate some of the things we grown women are doing until you are of age.. i love the fact that you all look up to me but i would never want to be a bad influence on anyone... SO PLEASE.. if you are an under age lady who is a fan of mine..keep in mind that im a grown woman and some things that are appropriate for me to do and say may not be appropriate for you to do and say until you are older...ok? Thank you so much for your concern :) Thankfully we have been able to keep in touch with him through emails. Thank God he hasnt had to go out into the actual battle field so far..Hes over his shop and he builds and repairs the planes, etc. so hopefully he wont be in too much immediate danger.. Hello everyone, im coming to the board today on a very sad note... as you all probably know by now we are at war. My little brother is a sergeant in the US Marines and he is in Saudi Arabia right now protecting the Southern No Fly zone which borders Iraq.Im am very sad, worried and extremely upset.Im asking that everyone here pray for him as well as the rest of the troops and all of the innocent civilians and chidren of Iraq. Hello, everyone...its Sole' dropping in to say Hi. I havent { Posted:in a while, but Ive been extremely busy and in and out of town. Im busy recording and getting all my business in order. The label will take into consideration what you would like the singles to be, but they have the final say. As far as what they look for.... whatever is usually the most radio friendly and catchy...which ever one they feel is gonna be a hit basically. As far as what i wanted my singles to be... i didnt choose 4,5,6 or It Wasnt Me. I wanted Accurate Math to be the first single and For the Love of You or We've Been Trying Too Long to be the second single, but as you can see, the label had made the decisions as to what they wanted.

And as far as going on tour and having a say as to where you go...for individual shows or spot dates where you're not actually on a tour, promoters call your management to book you for shows and you decide whether or not you want to accept it based on your schedule, the money theyre paying, etc....if youre on a tour, the cities and dates are set from the beginning and theyre all usually back to back shows in different cities, but the promoters put that together. We dont just pick what cities we want to go to..its all based on demand and how many people they will be able to bring in and again thats all done by the promoters and/or radio stations.

as far as the snoop movie, snoop had contacted my people and requested that i play his sister in the movie, unfortunately it never materialized so if it ever does and they get everything straight on the business end, i will still hopefully be who they want fo the film. im just not sure if the film will ever be made now. as far as mahogany.....same deal..i was asked to be a part of that film project but that never materialized either and im not sure if it ever will. as far as karl kani, someone mentioned it to me before but i was never asked to do that(that i know of:) so hopefully this next time around, there will be an opportunity for more offers that actually come to be:)

Hey girl, im gonna get some new pics up real soon. I gotta get with jimmy(st james) on that. As far as who i wanna do a song with???? There are a lot of people i would love to work with eventually... missy, nas, carl thomas(i loved emotional) i would love to do an alternative sounding song with nickleback or creed, mary j blige, mya,i always wanted to work with aaliyah :( unfortunately of course that can never happen :( ...wow, there are many more but im just trying to think of a few off the top of my head.I LOVED the genius of R kelly, but now thats a whole different subject! Anyway,im not sure how many different artists i will have on this album but i will make sure it is worth the wait. Im very excited about coming back out. IM SO READY LOL..i learned so much over the past few years and i will be better than ever the second time around.

Thank you so much. The love and support and encouragement mean more than you know. It feels good to here positivity for a change, as opposed to negativity, rumors, lies and hate that so many are quick to spew without thinking of the consequences of that. Hi everyone, its sole...i just wanted to take the time to let everyone know that if you are coming to this site to post false rumors, hate, or any other negative mess, it will not be tolerated. This is a fan site to be used for FANS to have fun. If you are here to lie or start rumors or trouble, you and your post will be deleted with a QUICKNESS! To those of you who read the post earlier from some chick pretending to know some info and then her homegirl supposedly coming in to claim the same BS (blackluvly and tamekawilson75) all of it was just that..COMPLETE BULL..they were actually the same person and both screen names and the topic have been deleted. So for those of you here to have fun and enjoy yourselves...thank you:) for those of you coming to hate and cause problems, dont waste your time because youll be deleted.

Hi everyone, its Sole. I just wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone who has visited my site. Sorry its taken so long to for me to come back but ive been extremely busy:) As i stated in my original post, i am working on my 2nd album. It has taken so long for me to come back out because i had been trying to get a release from the label and production company i was on and that took a considerable amount of time, so now thats done and im working again at getting the album done. Im sure it wont be out until next year but it will be worth the wait. I really appreciate the love and support so many of you have shown even though ive been away so long. The website will be launching soon and we will have some updated pics and info for you. Also special thanks :) to Prinza who designed her own site and has so many wonderful pics on there..some of which i have no idea where she got LOL...thanks girl. So please be patient with me and i will definately deliver....Love to you all

All my love to you for that post:) im getting mentally and physically prepared to come back, but ill let him know LOL...anyway, again i appreciate all the love and support that you all continue to bring. on this next album i am still going to talk about life and relationships and things women go through.... things of that nature, as i did on the last one but there wont be all that profanity like before. i know i can make a great album without it. i want to set a better example for all those who are fans and show that i am sexy, classy and intelligent and i dont feel the need to show that i can hang with the guys lyrically just by how much i can curse like them. im much more intelligent and creative than that and plan to show that on this record. It will still have all the realness just not all the four letter words:) thank you thank you thank you for all the love

Thats old.. That happened over 2 1/2 years ago and though she had been wrong in things she was saying and had been hating, its not a conversation im proud of. I should have let her hate and be ignorant by herself.

Hi, this is Sole' dropping in to say hello to everyone here and giving a very heartfelt thank you to all of you who have continued to support me through out my time off and a lot of false rumors and negativity. You dont know how much it means to me to know that there are still some real fans and genuinely kind hearted people still out there. Now, to let everyone know whats been going on with me, you all know i had the baby and she just turned one March 29 so i took some time off to be with her and my family. Also, rumors that i was "dropped" from my label are completely untrue. i have been in a long drawn out legal situation with the production company i was signed to and in the process, dreamworks was having trouble with their urban department.i felt that neither company was capable of doing what needed to be done for me as an artist based on the overall problems with promotions, etc on the last album,so we needed to part ways.Therfore,i asked to be released from both deals and after going through all the legal issues, and fighting for my freedom :) i am finally free of both companies.i am now in the process of signing a new deal and working on the new album which ive yet to title. As soon as my new deal is finalized, i will let you all know the details. until then, please be patient with me because i am working towards giving you the best album i can and being true to myself in the process. Thank you all once again for all the love and support and know that it is greatly appreciated!

This is sole saying hello to all my fans hi everyone, i havent been here in a while so i decided to stop in and say hello.like i said before i hope to have my official site up by spring that way no one will be confused as to the real info as opposed to rumors and gossip. as soon as i have the new address i will post it here. also i see a lot of you are still curious as to the truth of the situation with myself and ginuwine so if you havent read the article in sister 2 sister here it is straight from my mouth..first of all i did the interview because i was tired of hearing negative rumors and wrong info going around concerning my personal life not because i felt obligated to tell my personal business, but simply so my fans knew the truth since so many rumors were circulating..the truth is yes i am pregnant, yes ginuwine is the father and yes he and i are engaged, yes we planned this baby and are very much in love and NO there has NEVER been a question of who the father of this child is.thats it, plain and simple.i hope that answers your questions though some of you will believe whatever you want regardless of what i say, but i will say this, if you still dont believe, elgin(ginuwine)nor myself will never deny our situation again and i hope everyone can move past this and realize that we have the right to have a private life and please respect that and try to understand that we are just people too and continue to support our music..all my love to my true fans and happy holidays to all of you i hope they are filled with blessings.

I know you probably dont believe me right now but this is really Sole'.I've never seen this site before but i occasionally get on line and see what people are talking about.All my love to all of the fans who are showing love, i really appreciate it. im really surprised still when i see people showing support.it really malkes me feel good:)thank you!Also I read a lot of the messages that concern all the rumors going around right now.I did an interview with sister 2 sister concerning the new baby the new album and addressing some of those rumors. i havent seen an advance copy yet but it should be the next issue out this week I believe.Im currently working on an official website and as soon as its up and running I will leave the address here.For now i can be emailed at a temporary address that will only be up for a few weeks,which is TonyaSun@aol.com will also be checking in here occasionally. If i dont respond to all emails please forgive me, as i said before I only go on line occasionally and i've been very busy working on the new album which will be out spring 2001, but look for a single sooner. All my love again to all my fans and God bless. In my next message i will address some of those rumors, have a beautiful day!
