 •  •  Ms Dynamite giving a helping hand to Ade Edmondson on Hells Kitchen

Tonight on Hells Kitchen, Ade Edmondson and Linda Evans will battle it out to see who is the nations favourite celebrity chef.  Following on from last nights distasterous dinner serving the celebs will be working with the previously sacked celebrity chefs.

Ade has selected Niomi McLean-Daley (Ms Dynamite) and Danielle Bux to help him this evening. Whilst Linda has selected Anthea Turner and Bruce Grobelaar.

On Saturday evening Ade said  “Service was very good up until the point Marco left us in charge because the three of us couldn’t handle it.” He also said with humour  “Linda Evans from Dynasty, and me - the two front runners in the cooking competition. Who would have thought that would have happened 25 years ago - it’s pretty weird isn’t it.” So who will win out of the ex “Young Ones” star or the ex “Dynasty” star?   Source

 •  •  'Jammin for Inclusion' cancelled: Ms Dynamite was due to perform

A CHARITY gig featuring top musicians, including Ms Dynamite, has been pulled just days before the event.

The event was due to be held at Brixton Jamm club in Brixton Road on Wednesday night. Founder of CEN Deuan German, 49, from Balham, said he was told about the cancellation on Monday.

He said he was invited to Lambeth police station to meet PC Errol Patterson, the African-Carribbean community liaison officer to discuss how police could work with the organisation. While at the station, Mr German claimed he was told the event, which he had been organising since January, was being pulled. Mr German said the police felt unable to get adequate security measures in place in time for the gig.

He said: “The event was cancelled due to ‘risk factors’. They presented us with all these nightmare scenarios that could have taken place. They were worried that the event could be hijacked, or could lead to knives or firearms coming into the area and they wouldn’t be able to handle the situation at short notice. We feel they overreacted but we had no way of arguing against it. But we know from the ticket sales that we had a diverse range of people coming to the event – not just teenagers.”

Desmond George, manager of Bashy and Ms Dynamite, said: “I’m surprised police felt the event needed to be security checked. It’s farcical that it came to that when it was meant to be a pleasant, small event about getting kids back into school. Ms Dynamite and Bashy are two of the most conscious artists in terms of what they do. There’s never been trouble at their gigs. I think security checks are a way of stopping events happening.”

Chief Inspector Jon Kirkpatrick said: “The event organisers in partnership with Lambeth Police made a joint decision to postpone the event. It is important that a risk assessment is carried out prior to the event to ensure the safety of the performers, staff and those attending are met. We are working with the organisers to look for a future date to hold this event.” Brixton Jamm declined to comment.   Source

 •  •  MS Dynamite hints at comeback

Rap star Ms Dynamite hinted that a comeback could be on the cards after her eviction from Hell's Kitchen.

She said the reality show experience was the "most intense challenge" she had ever faced but claimed it had rekindled her love of entertaining. After achieving chart success with hits such as It Takes More and Dy-Na-Mi-Tee from her debut album in 2002, the Londoner, real name Niomi McLean-Daley, moved out of the limelight to look after her son Shavaar, now five. The singer, who turns 28 today, revealed that while motherhood would always come first, she could start thinking about her career again.

She said: "I've spent five years, nearly six years, 150% devoted to my son. "He is a bit more independent now and he could probably do with me loosening the reins a bit.

"Motherhood will always be the undisputed highlight of my life and my biggest priority. The roles I play within my family as a sister and daughter come next, but after that would be my role professionally."

"I have been gone, professionally, too long for my liking. I do have an urge to get back to one of the other things I love doing. I don't think it will be long before people hear from me."

McLean-Daly - who described herself as "the greediest person I know" - said she wanted to appear on the ITV1 show because she loved food and cooking but it ended up being a voyage of self-discovery.   Source

 •  •  Public fire Dynamite from Kitchen

* Pop star Ms Dynamite has become the first celebrity to be voted out of the Hell's Kitchen programme by the public.

The singer, whose real name is Niomi McLean-Daley, had survived previous sackings decided by head chef Marco Pierre White.

The eviction system changed to a public vote and McLean-Daley said she was "not at all shocked" to be the first the audience evicted. Her departure leaves three celebrity chefs in the running to win the show.

McLean-Daley thanked the remaining contestants on the ITV show and told them she felt she was leaving "on a high". She also apologised for her argument with head chef Pierre White.

The singer, who won the 2002 Mercury Music Prize for her debut album A Little Deeper, hinted that taking part in the programme might lead to a return to music.

"I have been gone, professionally, too long for my liking. I do have an urge to get back to one of the other things I love doing.  "I don't think it will be long before people hear from me" she added.

* Apology From Ms Dynamite

The singer had raised eyebrows for her fiery standoffs with head chef Pierre White.

Leaving the show though she commented: "I was woman enough to speak my mind but I would like to be woman enough to apologise for the way that I spoke to him."

"He'll probably kill me for saying this but he's lovely. I've come across some guys that are a lot scarier than Marco, he's lovely and he's got a huge heart" she added. The singer told the programme's presenter Claudia Winkleman that although it had been "one of the most amazing experiences" of her life, she was looking forward to being able to kiss her son good night "for the first time in a long time".

Ms Dynamite had just denied she was on the verge of making her music comeback, but insiders are claiming otherwise.

Late last year a new song from the former Mercury Award winner emerged online titled 'Bad Gyal', and now a newspaper report says that will be the new single for the R&B star / rapper.

Dynamite is currently on our screens as part of ITV1's Hell's Kitchen and it's claimed she's using her TV appearance as a platform to get back in the charts.

"She's desperate to get back on the music scene and knew a show as big as Hell's Kitchen could revive her career." A source tells The Sun.

"She has already recorded the video to go with her new single, Bad Gyal, using the UK's best female freestyle dancers."

 •  •  Hell's Kitchen: Ms Dynamite sacked by the public

Tonight's Hell's Kitchen saw the celebrities whittled down to three as the public voted for Niomi McLean-Daley to be sacked.

With just the four celebs, the work in the kitchen had to to be spread thinly.  The pressure built up during service, with each of the amateur cooks multi-tasking.  "It is a competition.  It's not a tea party," Marco reminded them.

It had also been an emotional day for the four remaining celebrities as they considered who much they had bonded with each other since they had arrived in Hell's Kitchen.  There were tears - even from Adrian Edmondson, the last remaining boy.

But one person had to go and the public chose Niomi - aka rapper Ms Dynamite.  The singer, who had both ups and downs during her time on the show, seemed surprised to be leaving, but had earlier stated that she was amazed to be in the final four.

Speaking to Hell's Kitchen host Claudia Winkleman after being sacked, Niomi described her time in the kitchen as an "amazing experience" and tipped model Danielle Bux to win the show.   Source

 •  •  Ms Dynamite evicted from Hell's Kitchen :(!

Pop star Niomi McLean-Daley became the latest celebrity to be booted off Hell's Kitchen. The singer, aka Ms Dynamite, said she was "not at all shocked" to be the first contestant to be evicted by the public.

She told presenter Claudia Winkleman: "There is a big element of me that is thinking ... I will get to give my son a kiss goodnight for the first time in a long time." She added: "It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life."

Friday's show was the first of the series where the public vote evicted a contestant. Previously they were sacked by chef Marco Pierre White.

McLean-Daley made her mark on the show by standing up to White. When questioned about her confrontation with the chef she said: "I was woman enough to speak my mind but I would like to be woman enough to apologise for the way that I spoke to him.

"He'll probably kill me for saying this but he's lovely. I've come across some guys that are a lot scarier than Marco, he's lovely and he's got a huge heart."

When she was saying goodbye to the other contestants she reassured them saying: "I am going on a high. Thank you so much."   Source
